Coastal Gateway Health Center, Inc. (CGHC) was formed as a non-profit entity in early 2022 to deliver healthcare services to Winnie, Stowell, Hamshire, Fannett, Nome, and the surrounding communities. The health center is receiving startup funding for the project from the Winnie-Stowell Hospital District based on a feasibility study conducted in late 2021 that demonstrated a need for quality primary healthcare services in the area. Coastal Gateway Health Center in Winnie, Texas, will be opening its doors soon to offer the community comprehensive healthcare services. The health center will also provide access to pharmacy services, integrated behavioral health, substance abuse disorder services, support services, specialty care, and oral health services. In addition, qualified patients will have access to a sliding fee discount. The health center accepts private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare, providing a much-needed healthcare resource for the community to help serve the most vulnerable members.
