Sports Physicals

Also known as a pre-participation physical exam, a Sports Physical is different from an annual physical because it focuses on ensuring your child’s current health status and medical history is healthy enough to play his or her sport. Many schools and states require these sports physicals before the child may participate.

What do I need to know before my child has a sports physical?

A parent or legal guardian must accompany all students under the age of 18 for sports physicals.

The child should dress comfortably in case the provider asks them to perform simple stretches and exercise.
